Stories Alive!

Immerse your child in the creative process of bringing stories to life. With THP, your child will play, improvise and act out stories that engage and grow their storytelling tools; voice, body, imagination and emotions. During our spring and summer adventures we sing and dance, create scenery and sets, wear costumes and share our story with our families. This live theatre experience is not only exciting, but it also helps children grow and use their voices. Social emotional development is one of our main goals, supporting children as they find their voices and work(play) to both express themselves and collaborate with others.

2024 Summer Adventures!

We have a location! We’re excited to announce that THP will spend the summer of 2024 at the United Church of Chester and the Montessori Circle of Friends School. These buildings sit side by side and offer all the things we need to stay safe and have fun with your children. At the church, we’ll utilize the downstairs fellowship hall as our stage area. MCOF offers a great playground, outside space for playing and painting and several indoor classrooms. We’re grateful to the Trustees at UCC and Martha Krane at MCOF for welcoming us and sharing their spaces with us. Yay!

The Story! We choose one children’s story per session and take a deep dive into the creative process of taking a story from page to stage. Children play, act, sing, dance and create art. We share our story with families and close friends.

The Art! Children are immersed in a variety of mediums and methods of creating art. Individual art pieces cover our gallery walls. Collaborative art, painted cloth backdrops and cardboard flats, adorns our stage and brings the visual world of the story to life.
