2026 Summer Adventures!

The Story! We choose one children’s story per session and take a deep dive into the creative process of bringing it to life. Children act, improvise, sing, and move/dance, expressing themselves individually and as a group. We share this live theater experience with our families and close friends.

The Art! Children are immersed in a variety of mediums and methods of creating art. Individual art pieces cover our studio walls. Collaborative art, painted cloth backdrops, and cardboard flats adorn our stage and bring the visual world of the story to life.

A note about joining us for more than one session. Most often, we tell the same story for each two-week camp session. Please know that if your child participates in more than one session, they’ll be a part of the same story, but they’ll play a different character and wear a different costume. The visual art we create does vary throughout the summer, yet there may be similar pieces that we repeat because they help us bring the story to life. We find that most children take away different things when they join us for more than one session and become leaders or find comfort in already knowing the songs and movement.

A note about CIT’s and Counselors in our Spring Programs

Counselors-In-Training: 12 – 14 year olds
We’re looking for CIT’s who know how to play and enjoy being around children. It’s great if you love theater and have performed on stage, but it’s not required.

Counselors: 15+ year olds
During our spring programs, counselors volunteer their time. It’s a great way to learn about THP and what we look for in teen leadership. It’s also a way to build volunteer hours for school. Please get in touch with Amy Forbes if your teen is interested in volunteering as a counselor.
