Stories Alive!
Through THP’s Stories Alive programs, children are immersed in the creative process of bringing characters and stories to life. Utilizing developmentally appropriate play, improvisation, theatre games, songs, and movement, we focus on engaging and growing children’s storytelling/acting tools; voice, body, imagination, and emotions. Social emotional development is one of our main goals, supporting children as they find their voices and work(play) to both express themselves and collaborate with others.
AFTER SCHOOL ADVENTURES!
The Weekly Workshop! 8 – 12 weeks of acting fun for children from 4 – 10 years. Explore stories and bring characters to life. Build storytelling/acting tools through play, improvisation, games, songs, and movement. It’s a creative, expressive way to grow confidence and be a part of a team.
SUMMER ADVENTURES!
Stories Alive! During our summer adventures we act, sing, and dance, create scenery and sets, wear costumes and share our story with our families. This live theatre experience is not only exciting, but it also helps children use their voices and grow social emotional skills.
Summer Adventures!
The Story! We choose one children’s story per session and take a deep dive into the creative process of bringing it to life. Children act, improvise, sing, and move/dance, expressing themselves individually and as a group. We share this live theater experience with our families and close friends.
The Art! Children are immersed in a variety of mediums and methods of creating art. Individual art pieces cover our studio walls. Collaborative art, painted cloth backdrops, and cardboard flats adorn our stage and bring the visual world of the story to life.
Two-Week Sessions: 5-10 year olds, 9 am – 3 pm; $650
June 16-27
July 7-18
August 4-15
One-Week Session: 4 – 5 year olds, 9 am – 12 pm; $225
July 21-25
